The variety is the result of folk selection and is grown in the Vallès and Empordà regions. The bean seeds have a rounded elliptical shape.
The beans are intended primarily for consumption in dry form, although they are also used fresh. During culinary preparation, the variety is distinguished by a very fast cooking time, and the finished product has a thin, almost imperceptible skin and a creamy texture.
