The variety originates from Vilaseca in Catalonia. In 1923, it was taken to Canada, where it was preserved for a long time, while it was lost in its homeland. Currently, the plant is under the protection of organizations dedicated to the conservation of agrobiodiversity.
The plant is a climbing type and requires the installation of supports about 2 meters high. The variety has high productivity and is characterized by wide and large pods. The seeds are large, pinkish-white in color, and acquire a dark beige hue when stored.
The variety is universal in its use and suitable for consumption both fresh at the milky maturity stage and as a dry bean.
