The Flambeau variety is a dwarf bush form of bean. The maturation period to the dry grain harvest stage is 76 to 85 days.

The pods have a variegated color: they are greenish-yellow with crimson speckles, containing 8–10 seeds each. The seeds are white with speckles. The variety is multipurpose and suitable both for fresh (green bean) consumption and for harvesting dry grain.
