Variety description

10 August 2026

Under the commercial name «Flamingo», one can find a bush vegetable early-ripening bean. The plant of medium height has light green slightly wrinkled leaves and pink flowers. Pods at technical maturity are light green, slightly curved, and lack a parchment layer and fiber. Seeds are large, white, with purple venation. Yield is 2.5–3.0 kg/m², the variety is hardy to adverse conditions.

In commercial catalogs, other variants appear under the same name, including climbing high-growing types or bush forms with red-pink pods. These commercial varieties are characterized by a pod length of 12 to 20 cm, as well as varying resistance to heat and cold. Due to the lack of a single standard for the name «Flamingo», the characteristics of the variety should be determined by the specific originator.
