Plants can be semi-climbing or bush with a height of 45 to 60 cm; when provided with support, they reach larger sizes. The ripening period is 65 to 80 days.
Pods 15–20 cm in length turn yellow with red or burgundy streaks upon ripening. Large cream-colored seeds with red veins have a nutty flavor and are of universal use, including consumption in fresh form, use in soups, stews, and canning.
