Variety description

10 August 2026

Keygold is a bush garden bean variety with compact plants and short haulm. The pods are round in shape and golden-yellow in color, their length is about 15 cm, and the seeds are white.

The variety is classified as early-maturing with a ripening period of 56 days and is intended for industrial processing and fresh consumption. The plant possesses resistance to Bean Common Mosaic Virus (BCMV, race 15) and shows reaction to bacteriosis.

In agronomic research, the variety is classified as a representative of the Andean gene pool and is used as breeding material for more modern bean varieties.
