The variety is mid-season, with an average growing season of 118 days. Małopolanka belongs to the colored-seed bean varieties.

The seeds of the variety are used as raw material for fermentation processes, particularly in the production of tempeh. Biochemical analysis shows that the seed coat has high antioxidant activity.

In agronomic studies, the variety is used to examine the effect of foliar application of micronutrients, such as boron and molybdenum, on crop quality.
