POL'KA
ActivePhaseolus vulgaris L. · Common bean
PRZEDSIEBIORSTWO NASIENNICTWA
10 August 2026
The plant is climbing, moderately leafy, and reaches shoot lengths of up to 3 meters. The flowers are small, purple. The seeds are kidney-shaped and gray in color with brown stripes.
The straight purple pods are elliptical or ovate in cross-section, their width is 1.5 cm, and their length varies from 18 to 20 cm. The lower pods are located at a height of about 0.4 meters from the ground.
The variety is mid-season; the period from emergence to fruiting lasts about 65 days. The plant has high drought tolerance and requires the installation of supports for growth.
The pods belong to the string bean type and are suitable for preparing side dishes, canning, pickling, and freezing. During thermal processing or freezing, the product retains its properties.
