Pirgetos is a bush bean intended for dry use. The variety is actively used as a subject of scientific research for the improvement of local genotypes, in particular, using individual selection methods at low planting density.
The plant is genetically heterogeneous and demonstrates unstable yield. The variety is sensitive to moisture deficiency, which leads to a decrease in productivity, and is also being studied in the context of the effect of soil salinity on seed germination.
