The variety is a dwarf type with a determinate growth habit; the stem reaches 50–60 cm in height. The plant forms medium-length pods of a curved cylindrical shape, colored pale yellow or cream with red streaks, each containing about 5 seeds.
The seeds are medium to medium-large in size, oblong-oval in shape, and light beige in color with characteristic red streaks. The variety is traditionally grown in Italy and is adapted to the local soil and climatic conditions of the Saluggia region.
