The plant belongs to the bush form of beans. The variety is a product of traditional folk selection in Slovenia and is maintained as a local genetic resource.

The bean grains have a brown color and a kidney shape. Seed germination takes from 8 to 10 days.

The variety is used in academic research dedicated to the study of genetic resources, physicochemical properties of the grain, and plant response to irrigation deficit.
