The Green Lion variety was obtained through the selection of unusual mutants. The plant reaches a height of 30–40 to 60 cm depending on growing conditions. The flowering period lasts from July to October.

The flowers of the variety have underdeveloped green corollas, due to which the inflorescences retain their bud shape for a long time and look like dense fluffy plumes. The plant is resistant to diseases.

Due to the structural features of the inflorescences, the stems retain their decorative quality for a long time when cut. The variety is suitable for use in floral arrangements, borders, group plantings, containers, or hanging baskets.
