The plant reaches a height of 2.5–3 meters with a crown width of 2–2.5 meters. The main ornamental feature of the variety is the strongly wavy, ruffled leaf margin. Young foliage has a copper-red or reddish-brown hue.
Flowering occurs in May–June with creamy-white flowers gathered in inflorescences. The frost resistance of the variety is limited to -15°C; in more severe conditions, covering is required.
The plant is used as a specimen plant, for creating hedges, as it tolerates pruning well, and for forming protective screens.
