Variety description
10 August 2026
The plant is a bamboo clone that retained viability after the species' mass flowering in 2010. The stems are characterized by the presence of pubescence, which makes them similar in appearance to Phyllostachys edulis. The clone demonstrates high growth vigor and winter hardiness in the range of -18 to -20°C.
The variety is intended for creating hedges and cultivation as a biomass source in Central European conditions. The plant requires significant water and nutrient supply. It is predicted that the clone will remain free from flowering for at least 60 years after the 2010 events.
