Variety description

The variety is a dwarf coniferous shrub with a slow growth rate. At the age of ten, the crown diameter is 0.6–0.7 m; the height of an adult plant reaches 1.5–2 m. The crown is dense, regular, spherical or oblate-spherical in shape, and may be broad-conical at a young age.
The needles are short and stiff, gathered in bundles of two, colored in shades from light green to dark green. The variety is light-loving, fully frost-resistant down to zones 5b (from -23°C to -26°C), and resistant to drought and atmospheric influences.
The plant has low requirements for soil conditions and tolerates dry sandy substrates well with acidity levels from slightly acidic to alkaline. It does not require regular pruning to maintain the shape of the crown.
