The variety is classified as mid-season, maturing 9 days after the Avola variety. The plant reaches a height of 60 cm and features an afila-type leaf, which provides resistance to lodging. The flowering type is semi-determinate, with the first flowering node located at the 14th node. Pods are of the multi-podded type.
The variety is resistant to Fusarium wilt (race 1), has medium tolerance to downy mildew, and is susceptible to powdery mildew. The grain is dark-colored; the thousand kernel weight is 180–205 g. About 72% of the yield consists of medium-sized grain ranging from 8.75 to 10.2 mm.
