The variety belongs to the group of peas with smooth seeds, which is reflected in its Hungarian classification type «kifejtő». The name «világoszöld» translates as «light-green», which characterizes the color of the seeds or the seed coat. In terms of maturity, the variety is classified as early-maturing.
During field trials, the variety was determined to be susceptible to Fusarium wilt caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. pisi. The variety is traditionally used in the food industry for canning. In scientific literature, it is applied in biochemical research as a test object due to the stability of its characteristics.
