S. A. FLORIMOND DESPREZ VEUVE ET FILS
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the extra-early category, with a period from emergence to technical maturity of about 12 weeks. The plant is short, reaching a height of about 45 cm, and the use of supports is recommended to maintain a vertical position.
Smooth-seeded type seeds provide resistance to rot when sown in cold and wet soil. The variety forms large green pods with peas that are suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use, however, upon overripening, they quickly acquire a mealy consistency.
The variety is versatile, suitable for early spring sowing, including under plastic covers, and for autumn cultivation. For scientific purposes, the variety is used as a model specimen for studying the Pisum sativum genome.
