The Helka variety is a product of Finnish breeding, developed by the Hankkija Plant Breeding Institute. The primary direction of use for the variety is protein production; it belongs to feed or grain crops.
The plant possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. pisi. The variety is characterized by early maturity and the ability to withstand waterlogging conditions.
