The variety belongs to peas with a normal leaf type and is yellow-seeded. It is intended for cultivation as a field or fodder crop and is sometimes used for mixed cropping with cereals.

In scientific literature and breeding trials, the variety serves as a susceptible control specimen when assessing resistance to pathogens, particularly to powdery mildew Erysiphe pisi. Currently, the variety is more often used in breeding and genetic research.
