The Mantara variety belongs to the maple pea group and is characterized by a moderately short stem. The plant has a semi-leafless type of structure, which ensures good lodging resistance and facilitates mechanized harvesting.
The grain has a rounded shape and a light brown color and is distinguished by a high protein content. The variety shows resistance to downy mildew and Fusarium wilt race 1. It is used primarily in the fodder industry, including the production of feed for birds and pets.
