The variety is used for scientific purposes as a control sample in the study of pea diseases, in particular rust Uromyces pisi. It is also used in technological research to compare physical properties of seeds, such as thousand kernel weight and their hardness.
Morphologically, the seeds of the variety are characterized as smooth, which is often noted in studies when compared with wrinkled pea forms. The variety is known in narrow breeding circles, however, a full description of its field traits, such as plant height or yield, is not presented.
