Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a spring variety and belongs to the group of forage crops. It is used as a source of plant protein in livestock farming, producing green mass, hay, haylage, or silage from it. The variety is characterized by a high yield potential of green mass and dry matter.

Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the highest number of seeds per pod compared to a number of other collection samples. The seeds have a black hilum. A high level of the antioxidant epigallocatechin is noted in the nutrient composition.

The variety is often used for scientific research to study the genetic diversity of peas and as material for further breeding work.
