The variety belongs to forage or field pea varieties. In British agronomic reports, it is classified as 'maple peas' — peas with variegated seed coloration, which are traditionally used as animal feed.
In 2015, the variety received a P1 provisional recommendation based on PGRO trial results in the UK. Detailed morphological characteristics, indicators of resistance to diseases and lodging, as well as precise data on maturity and yield, are absent in open publications.
