The variety Sienna (BSC373) was developed by crossing the varieties Samish and Tonic. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor; flowering begins from the 11th node. The pods are straight with blunt ends, arranged in pairs or triples, with an average of 5 seeds per pod. The weight of 100 seeds is 22 g.
The variety possesses resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 1 and 2) and intermediate resistance to downy mildew. However, the variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, Pea seed-borne mosaic virus, Pea enation mosaic virus, and Pea streak virus.
