The variety is a vegetable mangetout type and forms flat edible purple pods. The seeds mature slowly, which allows the pods to remain tender for a long time and retain a sweet and crunchy taste.
The plant reaches 90–120 cm in height and possesses decorative bicolour pink-purple flowers. The variety exhibits resistance to powdery mildew and is intended for consumption in raw or thermally processed form.
