The Torsdagsärt variety was bred from the Kapitalärt and Östgöta Gulärt varieties. It represents a group of related variants that were historically used in southern and central Sweden as soup peas.
The plant reaches a height of approximately 150 cm and therefore requires support. The variety forms straight, short pods with smaller yellow-colored seeds.
The plant possesses resistance to rots and late blight. It is capable of growing successfully in cool weather conditions and also demonstrates the ability to adapt to dry and hot periods.
