Väse is a medium-tall or tall plant reaching a height of 150–200 cm, with small leaves and early flowering dates. The flowers have a lilac color: a lilac keel combined with a light-lilac standard.
The pods of the variety are medium in length, nearly straight, and contain up to 8 seeds each. The seeds are round, slightly wrinkled, with an unpigmented hilum. Their color varies from gray-green to light brown-red, and the seeds have a tendency to darken during storage.
The variety is characterized by early maturity, surpassing many other local gray pea varieties in this regard. Due to the significant height of the stems, the plant requires the installation of supports to prevent lodging.
