The Vermio variety is used in international examination procedures as a reference for the 'very short' pod trait. The plant is being studied for its suitability for use in low-input agricultural systems and for forage purposes.
During trials conducted in various regions of Greece, the variety showed stable seed yield performance. Comparative studies revealed high crude protein content in the seeds of this variety along with some other pea samples.
