The variety is named after the Swedish island of Visingsö. The plant reaches a height of about 2 meters and requires support. The main morphological feature is the blue-colored pods, which contain green seeds.
The purpose of the variety is universal: the peas are consumed fresh at the stage of technical maturity, used in soups and purees, and processed into flour. Young pods can be consumed whole, but must be shelled as they mature.
The variety is characterized as hardy and healthy. In the absence of selective breeding in subsequent generations, a decrease in the intensity of the blue color of the pods may be observed.
