The variety belongs to the marrowfat pea type. The plant is tall, reaching 180–200 cm, and therefore requires support to prevent lodging.
The plant has white flowers and forms voluminous pods with large light green peas. The variety is characterized by vigorous growth. Young immature pods can be eaten whole, or the peas can be consumed fresh or frozen.
Like other pea varieties, the crop is susceptible to fungal diseases, in particular powdery mildew.
