The variety was obtained as a result of interspecific hybridization of Plectranthus saccatus and Plectranthus hilliardiae ssp. australe. The plant reaches 0.6–0.8 meters in height and width, forming a dense, rounded shrub. Leaves are glossy, dark green above and dark purple below; lavender-colored flowers with purple speckles are gathered in spicate inflorescences.
The plant is heat-loving and tolerates only brief, light frosts; it may be damaged at temperatures below 2°C. The variety is characterized by its compactness and lack of tendency for aggressive growth. It is used in landscape design for shady locations, patio arrangements, and also as a container or indoor crop.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
