The variety is a hybrid of Pleurotus ostreatus × Pleurotus florida. It was developed for industrial cultivation under controlled climate conditions.
The strain is adapted for cultivation on substrates made from agricultural waste, such as straw, and selected for producing fruit bodies suitable for the fresh produce market.
