The plant is a hybrid obtained using Podophyllum delavayi and Podophyllum versipelle. The height is from 30 to 50 cm. The leaves are umbrella-shaped, with a diameter of 25–40 cm; in spring, they are bright green with chocolate-brown spots, which fade as the leaf matures.
Flowering occurs in April-May. Large nodding garnet or wine-red flowers are located in the leaf axils. The plant has upright dense stems and is characterized as resistant to diseases and pests, but requires good drainage to prevent root rot.
The variety is intended for use in shady gardens, in woodland areas, in borders, and container gardening. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
