The plant has a bushy shape with rigid knotted stems and thin bright green lanceolate leaves. It reaches 30–50 cm in height and width; during the summer period, it can form inconspicuous pale brown spikelets.
The variety is intended for interior landscaping, cultivation in greenhouses, and landscape design in warm climates. The species is thermophilic, does not tolerate frost, and requires high air humidity and constant watering to maintain soil moisture.
