The tree has a straight or slightly curved stem and a conical or slightly spreading crown with thin, upward-directed branches. The bark is grey-white. Leaves on long shoots have three large lobes; on short shoots, they are elliptical, slightly lobed, and relatively small.
The variety is fast-growing and distinguished by good winter hardiness and resistance to spring frosts. It is resistant to brown leaf spot and bark canker, and shows low susceptibility to rust. It is adapted to a wide range of soils, including saline, calcareous, and temporarily waterlogged soils.
The wood is characterized by low density. In addition to its forestry purpose for producing commercial timber, the variety is used as a model object in scientific research and is considered a promising material for bioenergy and ecological restoration of territories.
