The rootstock was obtained within the Michigan State University breeding program from seeds collected in Hungary. It belongs to the Corette series and is a hybrid of sweet cherry and dwarf cherry.
The plant is used as a dwarf or semi-dwarf rootstock, providing vigor control for grafted varieties. It is characterized by precocity and resistance to PDV and PNRSV viruses, as well as high compatibility with commercial sweet and sour cherry varieties.
