The name Přeloučská pumra appears in pomological literature as a synonym for the Thurn Taxis variety, also known as Schneider's Late Bigarreau. In some cases, this designation may also be associated with the Napoleon Bigarreau variety, which causes ambiguity in identifying the genetic form.

The Schneider's Late Bigarreau variety belongs to the group of bigarreau cherries. The fruits are large, dark red in color, and possess firm, juicy flesh. The origin of this type of cherry dates back to the second half of the 19th century.
