The rootstock belongs to the species Prunus cerasifera and ensures vigorous growth of grafted trees. It possesses good compatibility with most plum varieties, however, it is not recommended for use with the Greengage group varieties.

Propagation is carried out vegetatively by means of layering or cuttings. In specialized literature, this rootstock is mentioned as an asymptomatic carrier of the myrobalan latent ringspot virus.
