The STO2 rootstock belongs to the dwarf type and provides a reduction in the vigor of scion varieties by approximately 30% compared to the Mazzard rootstock. The plant possesses a weeping growth habit and is well-anchored in the soil.
The use of this rootstock promotes earlier entry of trees into bearing and increased yield. It provides high tree uniformity and better fertility, showing reliable results under hot and dry climate conditions.
