The Biscoe tree has medium vigor and productivity, and is self-fertile. Flowers are small. The variety was obtained by crossing Raritan Rose and Redskin.
Fruits are large, round, with skin two-thirds covered by a red blush on a yellow background. The flesh is yellow or orange, firm, fine-grained, aromatic, with a small amount of red pigment near the pit. The pit separates easily from the flesh. The fruits are suitable for long-term storage.
The variety possesses high tolerance of flower buds to low temperatures and increased resistance to bacterial spot. Biscoe is used for fresh consumption and as genetic material for the breeding of other varieties.
