This variety is a traditional local landrace adapted to the climatic conditions of the Spanish region of Murcia. Genetic studies indicate a proximity of this specimen to peach varieties from northern Spain.
Standardized characteristics of the variety, such as ripening times or yield indicators, are absent due to the lack of industrial breeding. In scientific publications, the variety is mentioned primarily as a genetic reserve for programs studying resistance to environmental stress factors.
