The variety is characterized as a vigorous tree type with a late fruit ripening period. Under the conditions of southern France, flowering occurs in the period from March 9 to 22, with a flowering density of 25 to 30 flowers per meter.
The fruits have an acidic taste. The variety is self-fertile. In breeding work, it is often used as a standard for comparison with new varieties and as a source of breeding material for obtaining new peach varieties.
