The Maya variety (also known as PB007 or PB007 PJ) belongs to the extra-early group. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, a semi-open crown, abundant flowering, and high fruit set. Chilling requirements are between 300 and 400 chill units.
The fruits are round with no tip, and the skin is dark red. The flesh is yellow and firm, with a balanced taste. Fruit caliber corresponds to category B (diameter 62–67 mm). The variety is characterized by fruit resistance to cracking and no tendency for pit splitting.
