The variety ripens in the first ten days of June. The fruits have a round shape and a red-yellow skin color. The flesh is distinguished by a sweet taste, however, the fruits themselves have low keeping quality and store for a short time.
In literature, the variety is also known by the names Fiore di maggio and Early Wonder. In a number of registers, the name May Flower précoce is cited as a synonym for the variety Madeleine Pouyet. Trees can exhibit varying degrees of growth vigor.
