The Missour rootstock originates from the region of the same name in Morocco and is widely used in commercial horticulture. The plant has high vigor and promotes the formation of uniform trees when grafting various varieties, such as Redhaven.
The material is characterized by a pronounced ability to tolerate calcareous soils, but it is sensitive to waterlogging. The rootstock's own fruit is small and has no commercial value for crop production.
