The Monphir variety (trade name Zephyr) is a tree with vigorous growth and a semi-spreading canopy. The variety is self-fertile and distinguished by high productivity during the fruiting period.
The fruits are medium-sized and have a round shape. The white-colored flesh is characterized by high firmness and low acid content, and possesses a pronounced aroma. The skin is smooth and colored red. When maintaining a temperature regime of -0.5°C, the fruits can be stored for up to 28 days.
The variety shows susceptibility to bacterial spot. Resistance to lodging and physical growth parameters depend on the chosen rootstock and canopy training methods.
