The T16 rootstock is a tree with an upright habit and a spherical crown. The branches are characterized by an average thickness of about 4.9 mm, internodes with an average length of 2.8 cm, and a high density of flower bud formation.
The plant has good resistance to soils with lime content up to 12%. Trees on this rootstock possess strong anchorage, which allows for the avoidance of support systems, and they do not produce root suckers.
