The tree reaches a height of 2.5 to 5 meters and has a spreading crown shape. The fruits are large, covered with yellow-green skin with a bright red blush, containing sweet, tender flesh with a slight tartness inside. The variety is self-fertile.
Fruit ripening occurs in late September — early October. The tree is capable of withstanding frosts down to -20°C, but requires a warm, wind-protected location for high-quality crop ripening. Historically, it was traditionally grown using the espalier method along walls to accumulate heat.
