Variety description

The variety is a large shrub 3–4 meters in height. The fruits are dark blue, with a bloom, reaching 1.5–2 cm in diameter. They have a tart-sour taste with a reduced level of astringency compared to wild forms. The harvest ripens in October–November and becomes softer after exposure to frost.
The plant is self-fertile, but cross-pollination is recommended to increase yield. The variety begins to bear fruit in the 2nd–3rd year after planting, produces root suckers, and is resistant to wind and low temperatures down to –30°C. The fruits are used for making juices, jams, syrups, and alcoholic beverages.
